Our Math CRT Test is just over a week away. We will be testing Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday May 11-13. If at all possible, please schedule any appointments around these days so your student will be here while we are testing.
Students are more successful on tests when they take it with their regular class & teacher, rather than on a make up day.
If your student is sick or cannot make it for other reasons, make up days are scheduled for Friday May 14 & Monday May 17.
Here are some suggestions to help your student get ready for the test:
- Make sure homework is completed everyday
- Read over notes 1 or 2 a night (we passed back all the notes from all the units:)
- Go over Bright Green Checklist of concepts we've covered this year
- Make up practice problems that go along with the checklist
- Practice problems online @ my UTIPS Page There are 6 practice tests
- Watch review video clips at http://www.onlinemathlearning.com/grade-6.html
For testing days:
- Make sure they get plenty of sleep
- Get a good breakfast
- Remind them to "Do their best & use all of the time!"
- They can bring a snack/juice to eat before testing (during home base)
- Be positive about Math:) They've worked hard all year & here's their chance to shine!
